I picked up this Dendrobium Black Spider at an orchid show in Indianapolis this past September. It was sitting on a vendor's table being more or less ignored by everyone there, and for the life of me I can't figure out why. I've never seen a dendrobium so close to black before, and I figured that just about any orchid enthusiast would be really excited. Their loss, I suppose. This plant was nearly in full bloom in September, and it's still going strong now in November.
