This photoset is from the Ash Brook Reservation. I found a trailhead not too far from where we entered the woods last year, and followed it until the blazes disappeared. I also did quite a bit of slogging through the swamp; fortunately, the vegetation wasn't much over waist-high and the muck and water never got over the tops of my boots. For all that hard work, I stumbled on a population of three plants of Platanthera lacera.
