These pictures are from the fourth of July celebration in West Lafayette, IN.  This is the second time I've taken pictured of fireworks with my digital camera, and I was quite pleased with the results.  Depite not having a shutter release cable, I was able to get good pictures by opening the shutter during periods of darkness (where camera shake doesn't affect image quality) and setting the camera for eight second exposures.
