This photoset is from a hike through natural areas in Morris County.  I found a lovely swamp and in between the swamp azalea, skunk cabbage, and ferns, I found about ten individuals of Platanthera grandiflora, the large purple fringed orchid, in late bloom.  This marks the thirty-fourth orchid I've found in New Jersey.
