These pictures are from a trip to natural areas in Ocean County.  I visited a mixed population of Spiranthes tuberosa and S. lacera var. gracilis and managed to locate a number of Eames' hybrid ladies' tresses, Spiranthes ×eamesii.  Since this is a hybrid swarm, identification was tricky.  I have assigned plants with pure white lips as S. tuberosa, pure (dark) green lips as S. lacera, and those with intermediate lime green or yellow lips as S. ×eamesii.  This hybrid is the fourty-seventh orchid that I've found in New Jersey.
