This photoset is from a hike through natural areas in Cape May and Atlantic Counties.  At the far southern end of the state at the end of the flowering season, I found the fragrant ladies' tresses (Spiranthes odorata) [Edit: Atlantic ladies' tresses, Spiranthes bightensis], the fourty-first orchid I've seen in New Jersey.
