This photoset is from a hike around the loop trail at the Splitrock Reservoir.  We did see a number of small populations of orchids, most Cypripedium acaule with a few Goodyera pubescens.  It was a sparse hike, though, with fewer occurences than miles hiked.  Fortunately, the landscape is very pretty.
