These photographs are from a summer hike through natural areas in Sussex County.  On this trip, I found a remarkably large population of the checkered rattlesnake plantain Goodyera tesselata which was though to be extirpated in the state of New Jersey.  This marks the forty-second orchid I've found in this state.
