These pictures are from the adjacent Weiler-Leopold and Black Rock Barrens nature preserves owned by NICHES. This is the first time I've visited in the summer, and the grassland areas are much more interesting when they're tall and in flower. Interestingly, the parking area was covered with dozens of little butterflies; so many that several errant butterflies bonked me in the face. You can also see other pictures I've taken at these preserves.
